We have recently been impacted by a glut of unsettling events that has left us reeling in shock, helplessness, frustration, and questioning. We have witnessed Nature’s power and man’s destructive disrespect of human life. Yet in all of these tragic situations, we have been offered numerous glimpses and accounts of caring, self-sacrifice, sharing, outreach, charity, and love. It’s as if the darkness of the disaster provides the contrasting backdrop for such healing offerings to be recognized and illuminated more than when they are occurring in our day-to-day lives during more “routine” circumstances.

“Ubi Caritas” is one of our Fall pieces that echoes “Where charity and love are…” Thousands of musical works have been written through the ages with a love theme in all of its many forms. Ola Gjeilo is the gifted composer who has transformed these traditional Mass reflections into an uplifting piece that will inspire our listeners with its riveting message in song.

Our “Wintertide” concert will be a meaningful way to usher in our season of Thanksgiving and preparation for Christmas. We are grateful and appreciate your continued support. It is our hope that you enjoy being sung to as much as we enjoy singing to you.
