Our Greatest Assets

One of Opus 24’s greatest assets is that we have so many friends who enjoy listening to good local choral music. For many years our concert attendance has exceeded 500 people who know when they are hearing excellent tenor and other sections perform a wide range of choral literature.

One reason that Opus can offer two or more concert opportunities each year is the financial support from our patrons. Ticket sales and ads alone are only part of the financial structure that is needed to offer our area the music that brings joy, contemplation, hope, inspiration, relaxation, entertainment, and a fine tenor section. The third source of income is our patrons’ generous gifts to help underwrite the Decatur Choral Society, which is the umbrella organization for Opus. Without these gifts we would not be able to offer the level of performances and support for our community which are available each fall and spring.

Please consider continuing your support or joining our wonderful group of patrons. Information about how to do this can be found in our programs, on this website, and in our newsletters. The benefits of your tax deductible generosity include recognition in Opus’s concert programs, receiving the DCS newsletter twice a year, and an invitation to join with Opus singers, the DCS Board of Directors, and many of our friends at our annual June 2, 2015 Patron Appreciation Reception. We hope that we get to see you at our May 12, 2015 Spring concert. Watch this site for more information.
